Menlo Park Toastmasters is holding a course on Effective Listening. It will consist of 2 Wednesday evening sessions, each lasting 2 hours.

Participants will receive a workbook and practise techniques for listening. Exercises will teach you how to overcome distractions, inspire openness and avoid making hasty judgments.

The course will be conducted by Angela Hey, PhD. Advance registration is advised as event capacity is limited.

Menlo Park Toastmasters

Menlo Park Toastmasters is an award winning public speaking club. Peer evaluation helps members speak clearly and persuasively to enhance their professional, personal and political presence. Members learn both impromptu speaking skills and prepared speech creation in a friendly environment. We meet every Wednesday evening, except around holidays at 7:30 pm in a classroom at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church. This is an award winning club focused on helping members improve their public speaking for business, pleasure and family events. Guests are invited to attend events free.
